Sun Peaks Grand Hotel and Conference Centre is a mountain hotel at Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia's Thompson-Okanagan region. It provides a full-service lodging base for a destination with winter skiing and snowboarding as well as summer hiking, biking and golf. The hotel places a stay in the mountain village rather than requiring a daily drive from Kamloops.
Rooms and suites offer several ways to organise a mountain holiday. Deluxe rooms provide the standard hotel arrangement, with view, balcony and kitchenette upgrades available in selected categories. Junior and larger suites give families more space, while Summit Floor rooms occupy the hotel's top level. Compare the confirmed bed configuration and room features, particularly if you need a kitchenette for breakfasts or children's meals.
The Residences provide a different option for travellers who want more independence. The hotel describes fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, in-suite laundry and fireplaces. Those features can be useful for longer stays or a group carrying outdoor equipment, but they are not interchangeable with a standard guest room. Check which accommodation building and category appear on the booking confirmation.
The hotel is not an all-inclusive resort. Accommodation, mountain access, equipment, lessons and dining should be compared as separate parts of the budget unless a specific package says otherwise. A room reservation does not by itself establish lift access or the operating status of the mountain on a given date. Seasonal conditions matter when choosing an early-winter trip.
Dining includes Mantles Restaurant and Lounge, Morrisey's Public House and Grand Mornings. Together they provide restaurant meals, pub-style options and a quicker breakfast choice. Opening times and seasonal operations should be checked for the stay, particularly outside the busiest ski weeks.
The Wellness Centre has an outdoor pool, hot tubs and an exercise room. A multi-phase renovation began in September 2026 with work on indoor access, reception and sauna facilities. The hotel's notice says the pool and hot tubs remain open during that first phase via a temporary route, while the existing sauna is unavailable. Indoor work targets completion before the winter ski season, with further outdoor-area improvements planned for 2027. Confirm current progress if these facilities are central to the trip.
The hotel places Sun Peaks roughly 45 minutes by road from Kamloops. Allow for winter conditions and check transfer arrangements before arrival. A village-based stay can simplify the daily routine, but the best room choice still depends on group size, cooking needs and whether everyone intends to ski.
