Sani Dunes draws from the full Sani Resort activity infrastructure, which is extensive. Most land-based and group activities are complimentary; branded academies, water sports, and specialist programs cost extra. The resort runs notable branded partnerships — Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy and Chelsea FC Football Academy operate on-site, which is unusual for a Greek beach hotel.
3,500 sq m heated pool — the largest heated outdoor pool in Greece according to the resort. Flows through multiple sections of the property with a swim-up bar. Many room categories have direct waterside access from their terrace. A dedicated children's section keeps younger swimmers separate from the main area. Sun loungers are plentiful but peak weeks in July and August still see competition for prime spots.
Heated indoor pool for year-round use. Smaller and quieter than the main lagoon. Useful during the resort's shoulder season when outdoor temperatures drop in the morning.
Private, exclusively serviced stretch of soft white sand with clear, shallow water — safe for children. Sun loungers are spaced at least 4 meters apart per umbrella arrangement, which is more privacy than most Greek beach resorts offer. Refreshments are brought to your chair; towels are replenished throughout the day. A Babewatch service provides 30 minutes of complimentary beachside childcare per session. The beach is smaller than the pool footprint, so it never accommodates the full guest count at once — arrive early during peak weeks.
Complimentary gear provided (masks, wetsuits, snorkels). Suited to casual exploration of the clear Aegean water near the beach. Works well for adults and children who don't want to commit to a full dive course.
Six courts at the Sani Sports Centre available complimentary. Good if you play regularly and want to keep up a routine. The Rafa Nadal Academy coaching sessions are extra but use the same courts.
Dedicated football pitch and basketball courts with equipment provided. Complimentary. Good for keeping active teens occupied — ties in with the Chelsea FC Academy for those who want structured coaching.
Casual, drop-in activities. Complimentary. Beach volleyball works well as a social activity on the sand.
Complimentary sessions with professional instruction. Open to all skill levels. One of the more distinctive land-based activity options for a beach resort.
Complimentary guided cycling on the Kassandra Peninsula. Flat to moderate terrain, scenic forested routes. Good morning activity before the heat peaks. Mountain bike hire (extra charge) is available for independent riders.
Tree-top ropes course at no extra charge. Multiple difficulty levels. Suited to kids and adults who want an active half-day away from the pool.
Technogym equipment, daily Pilates, aqua aerobics, and yoga classes — all complimentary. The gym is well-equipped enough for guests who maintain regular training routines.
Organized morning runs of 5km through the resort and surroundings. Complimentary. Light enough for casual runners, structured enough to feel purposeful.
Daily sessions morning, lunchtime, and afternoon for ages 4–12. Complimentary. Arts and crafts, pool games, treasure hunts. The main free childcare option at Sani Dunes.
Complimentary access for ages 12–17, available mid-June through end of August. Activities run at the Sani Marina clubhouse — DJ-ing, hip hop dance, group gaming. More social than structured.
Open-air musicals and live performances at the Garden Theatre five nights a week. Live music and DJ sets in various resort venues. Complimentary and a strong part of the evening offering.
Twice-weekly birdwatching tours and ecology programs like the Sani Bee Spot. Complimentary. More interesting than it sounds — the Kassandra Peninsula has genuine biodiversity, and the bee program is genuinely educational.
Waterskiing, wakeboarding, and parasailing available at additional cost. Worth considering if you've never tried parasailing over the Aegean — the views are distinctive.
Windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing lessons at extra charge. This section of the coast is appropriate for beginners.
Full PADI certification available, plus supervised excursions for certified divers. Additional charge. The Aegean visibility is generally good and well-suited to recreational diving.
Coached sessions run by the Rafa Nadal Academy at additional cost. Available for all ages and levels. Worth the premium if tennis is a priority — the coaching quality is higher than typical resort instruction.
Structured football training for kids up to 16, extra charge. Professional coaches, Chelsea FC branded curriculum. A genuine draw for football-focused families.
Outdoor survival skills program at extra cost. Unusual offering for a beach resort — navigating, shelter-building, basic wilderness techniques. Most interesting for older kids and adventurous adults.
Rental bikes available at extra charge for independent exploration of the peninsula. The free Bike Club is a better value for casual riders.
One-on-one sessions with qualified trainers at additional cost. Useful for guests wanting a structured fitness program during a longer stay.
Professional childcare in three daily sessions for infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 4 years. OFSTED-standard care. Additional charge. Important to book in advance — the crèche has limited capacity.
Wine and olive tasting, beekeeping, cooking classes, art sessions, and teen mocktail-making at extra cost. Hit-or-miss depending on group interest, but wine tasting draws on local Greek varieties worth knowing about.
Sunset boat cruises and private yacht charters available at extra cost from Sani Marina. Sunset timing on the Kassandra coast is particularly good in the June–August window.
Chauffeured tours to Thessaloniki, Meteora, and historical sites like Pella-Vergina available at extra charge. Meteora is a half-day each way — best suited to guests staying a week or more.
