Cable Beach is one of Nassau's most famous stretches of sand — well-maintained, white sand, and relatively calm turquoise water. It's a public beach adjacent to the resort's section, meaning other hotel guests may be nearby. The resort section has dedicated service. Good swimming conditions most days.
The private offshore island has smaller, more secluded beaches with calmer water than Cable Beach. The snorkeling here is significantly better than from the main shore. Access by boat from the main resort; departure times are scheduled throughout the day. Weather-dependent — high winds cancel boat access.
Equipment included from both the main beach and Barefoot Cay. The offshore island's reef is the better snorkeling site — clearer water and more marine life than the Cable Beach shoreline.
