Uvero Alto sits on an Atlantic-facing stretch of Punta Cana's coastline rather than the protected Bavaro lagoon area. The beach itself is golden sand with palm trees and is genuinely scenic. The waves, however, are more consistent and stronger than at Bavaro — guests regularly note that ocean swimming is difficult on most days. If a swimmable beach is the priority, manage expectations here. Diamond Club guests have a dedicated beach section with waiter service.
Equipment included. Uvero Alto's rougher surf makes in-shore snorkeling less productive than at calmer beach properties. For serious snorkeling, book an off-site excursion.
