Dickenson Bay, Antigua and Barbuda
CHIC Antigua's activity program is skewed toward social and water-based options rather than the family programming at Royalton's family properties. Pickleball is a notable addition not offered at all Royalton resorts. Dickenson Bay provides good conditions for non-motorized water sports.
The energy center of the resort. DJ sets, foam events, and organized activities run here throughout the day and into the evening. The swim-up bar is positioned here. If you want noise and energy, this is where to be; if you don't, use the other pools.
A quieter beachfront alternative to the main activity pool. Designed for guests who want calmer water access — still near the beach and sea views, but without the DJ.
Private pool for Diamond Club guests with full bar service, premium drinks, and dedicated waiter service. The most consistently quiet pool area at the resort.
Each overwater suite has its own private infinity plunge pool integrated into the terrace. Not shared with other guests — these are purely private.
Dickenson Bay is one of Antigua's most popular and reliably swimmable beaches — the water is calm, the entry is gradual, and the sand is light and fine. The bay faces northwest, which provides protection from eastern Atlantic swells. This is a public bay, not a fully private resort beach, so you may share the shoreline with other visitors in the peak season — though the resort section is clearly delineated. Non-motorized water sports launch from here; Diamond Club guests have a dedicated beach area.
Equipment included; launched from Dickenson Bay. The bay's calm water and moderate reef presence make snorkeling accessible here.
Complimentary self-guided kayaking on Dickenson Bay. Best in the mornings.
Stand-up paddleboarding included from the beach. The protected bay conditions make this more accessible than on Atlantic-facing beaches.
Complimentary sailing options from the beach. Dickenson Bay's consistent breezes make this a practical activity.
Pedal-powered water bikes available from the beach. Unusual for a Caribbean all-inclusive; a good option for guests who want activity without instruction.
Pool-based intro scuba sessions complimentary. Open-water dives are bookable through the concierge at extra cost.
Courts available; instruction available through the resort.
Dedicated pickleball courts — one of the few Caribbean all-inclusives offering pickleball as a named activity. Worth trying if you haven't played before.
Casual and organized games on Dickenson Bay.
Tables available around the resort for casual play.
Modern fitness center with cardio equipment and a daily class schedule including yoga, Zumba, and aqua aerobics. Complimentary for all guests.
Structured performance schedule at the main entertainment venue most evenings.
Live music and DJ-led events throughout the day and evening — the core of the 'Party Your Way' programming. Foam parties, themed nights, and pool events are regular fixtures.
Themed pool parties with DJ sets are a centerpiece of the entertainment program. The main pool is designed around these events.
The weekly events calendar includes themed nights, pop-up experiences, and special celebrations. Check the schedule on arrival.
Periodic cultural workshops introducing Antiguan traditions. Light programming that doesn't dominate the activity schedule.
Antigua excursions through the concierge — popular options include English Harbour, sailing circumnavigation, and Shirley Heights. All at additional cost.
