Ocean El Faro opened in late 2018 in Uvero Alto — the quieter eastern stretch of Punta Cana's coastline, away from the more densely developed Bávaro hotel strip. Uvero Alto is 38 to 40 km from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) — a 30 to 40-minute transfer.
