Kandooma Maldives

Kandooma Maldives occupies Kandooma Fushi in South Malé Atoll, approximately 45 minutes from Velana International Airport by speedboat. Previously known as Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, it is managed by HPL Hotels & Resorts. Its 146 rooms span garden, beach, overwater and family accommodation. The setting suits travellers who want island activities and a choice of room styles without arranging a seaplane connection.

The current all-inclusive stay covers three meals a day at designated restaurants, snacks at designated outlets and beverages from the inclusive menu. Dining spaces include Kandooma Café, Bokkuraa Pool Deck, Baraveli Beach Bar and the Beach Club, with private and themed dining also available. Guests should check the booked plan for venue access, special dinners and any supplements rather than assuming every dining experience is included.

The lagoon and surrounding ocean are central to a stay. The resort offers snorkelling excursions and a Dive Free programme, subject to the relevant arrangements and eligibility. Scuba certification, courses and more advanced sites require separate attention. Kandooma Right is the island's well-known surf break, but surfing guests must arrange a Surf & Accommodation package through the resort's exclusive partner, Perfect Wave. An ordinary room reservation should not be treated as permission to surf.

On land, the recreation list includes beach volleyball, beach tennis, table tennis, billiards and beach football. A pickleball court added in October 2026 is open from 6am to 6pm, with equipment available at Reception and one complimentary hour per villa daily. Book through Recreation or Front Office. Kandoo Kids Club offers scheduled children's activities, while family rooms give households an alternative to overwater accommodation. Parents should check supervision arrangements and the resort's overwater-villa disclaimer requirements before choosing a category.

Kandooma Spa by COMO Shambhala and scheduled movement classes add quieter options between excursions. For arrival, send flight details at least 24 to 48 hours ahead so the team can arrange the speedboat. Transfers carry their own charges. Ask for the current activity schedule, meal-plan terms and surf or diving requirements before travel, especially when one particular experience is the main reason for choosing the island.
