Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village occupies the same stretch of Blue Flag beach as its sister property — the same shallow, family-safe water that makes this part of Majorca's north coast specifically sought out by parents of young children. What the Village offers that the adjacent property doesn't is a 5-star designation that comes with tangible differences: a dedicated cycling infrastructure, the Gust à la carte restaurant, and the Embat beachfront restaurant where you can eat dinner 10 metres from the water.
The waterpark is newer and more developed than at the adjacent Playa de Muro property. Combined with the Star Camp program (Monkey for 4–7, Dolphin for 8–12, Eagle for 13–17 in summer), this is a resort that's designed to keep children genuinely occupied rather than supervised. The cycling amenity — bike storage, workshop, laundry, and rental — is a legitimate reason to book if the Tramuntana road routes are on your agenda.
The honest issues: outdoor pools are unheated and cold outside July–August. Some family rooms have reported noise bleed between units. A sulphur-like smell in certain rooms has been mentioned in reviews — likely plumbing-related and property-specific to certain blocks. Mosquitoes in garden-facing rooms are a seasonal issue. Beach loungers on Playa de Muro are not managed by the resort and cost extra.
Practically: 202 rooms across seven blocks, all-inclusive, 57 km from Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) — 45-minute transfer. The semi-Olympic indoor pool (25 metres, heated, adults-only from 3 PM) is the most practical amenity for shoulder-season visits. The Gust restaurant is à la carte with reservation required; one complimentary meal per stay for AI guests.
