Iberostar Bahía de Palma has 217 rooms and one feature that justifies the adults-only premium over comparable Palma properties: the rooftop infinity pool on the 8th floor, with a suspended section that extends over the building's edge. The views across the bay are real and the design is more architecturally considered than standard resort pool construction. That combination — adults-only, rooftop pool, beachfront access — is a useful shorthand for who should book here.
This property works for couples who want a quieter Majorcan beach holiday with some elegance, and for adults who specifically want to avoid family resort dynamics. The 16+ minimum age requirement is enforced. The hotel is 100 meters from Playa de Palma's main strip, which means bars, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance if you want them — but the resort itself has enough to stay on-property comfortably. The Star Prestige upgrade (adults-only within an adults-only hotel) unlocks private sun terraces, hydromassage access, and dedicated lounge service if you want an extra tier of exclusivity.
The honest drawback is location. Playa de Palma is one of the busiest, most commercialized beach zones in Majorca — budget German and British package tourism dominates the strip outside the resort perimeter. The beach itself is excellent (long, shallow, genuinely soft sand), but the surrounding neighborhood is functional rather than beautiful. If you want a quieter corner of Majorca, this isn't it.
Practical details: 217 rooms across eight floors, mostly doubles and junior suites. The renovation history (1976 build, 2009 major renovation, 2017 room updates) means the property is well-maintained but not brand-new. Palma Airport (PMI) is 7 km away — a 6–10 minute drive, one of the fastest airport-to-resort transfers in Majorca. SPA Sensations runs 400+ square meters. The resort dropped single-use plastics in 2020 and is targeting carbon neutrality by 2030, which is worth noting for guests for whom sustainability is a factor.
High season is June through September; the rooftop pool and Sky Bar are the resort's strongest evening asset during these months. Shoulder season (April–May, October) is quieter and lower-priced, and Majorca's climate is still good for beach use.
