Rating8.1Adults OnlyThe activity program is more varied than typical for a Spanish island resort. Soft archery, shuffleboard, and boules round out the usual pool games and beach volleyball. The gym access is included. Off-site options include diving, windsurfing, mini-golf, bowling, squash, and golf — all extra charge through external operators. The Bubbles discotheque offers free entry. The 15-minute walk to Maspalomas beach and its sand dunes is one of the best no-extra-cost excursions from any Canary Islands resort.
The visual centerpiece of the resort. Adults only (18+), beachfront positioning with a direct view of the promenade and ocean. Quieter than the main pools — the adults-only designation keeps the atmosphere calm. The most photographed feature of the post-2023 refurbishment.
Dedicated children's pool with slides. Shallow and safe. Adjacent to the RiuLand area.
Very shallow pool for the youngest guests. Separated from the main children's pool.
The primary adult and family pool. 337 sq m — a decent size for a 639-room resort. The activity zone for organized pool games and events.
The heated pool — slightly larger than the main pool at 347 sq m — is a significant advantage from November to March. Less crowded than the main pool because fewer guests realize it's available. Heated pools at Canary Islands resorts significantly extend the comfortable swimming season.
Additional smaller pool areas and whirlpool facilities. Useful for quieter zones when the main pools are at capacity.
The closest beach to the resort, directly accessible from the promenade. Dark, coarser sand — typical of southern Gran Canaria. The water is swimmable and the wave action is gentle. Less crowded than Maspalomas given its slightly more local character.
The headline beach — about 15 minutes' walk from the resort. Famous for its golden sand dunes that back the beach in the Maspalomas Nature Reserve. This is genuinely striking and unlike any other beach in the Canary Islands. The dunes are a worth-doing walk even if you're not planning a full beach day.
A smaller beach between Meloneras and Maspalomas. More local and less developed than the main resort beaches. Accessible as part of a walk along the promenade.
