Mettler, United States
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is an inland gaming and entertainment property on Tejon Indian tribal land in Mettler, California, near the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley. The casino is open, while its hotel and wider resort facilities remain under development. Travelers should distinguish a visit to the existing casino from an overnight resort reservation.
The property is on the Interstate 5 corridor south of Bakersfield. Its official FAQ places it about 30 minutes south of the city. This is a driving destination rather than a beachfront holiday base, so check the route and allow time for road conditions when combining it with other California stops.
The existing operation includes gaming and dining, with Hard Rock Cafe, The Marketplace and YouYu among the named outlets. Casino access rules should be checked directly before bringing younger travelers or arranging a mixed-age group visit. Dining availability and opening hours can differ between venues.
A second development phase broke ground in October 2026. It is intended to introduce overnight accommodation and leisure facilities, with summer 2028 the announced target. These future amenities should not be assumed available during a current visit. The hotel image shown here is an architectural rendering, not a photograph of a completed hotel.
Until confirmed hotel reservations become available, arrange any overnight accommodation separately. Ask about construction near access routes before visiting and review the exact inclusions when room rates are eventually released. The California casino property should not be confused with Hard Rock's all-inclusive beach resorts in other destinations.
