Rating9.2
Rating9.8The activity program is quieter than the larger Velas properties by design — 79 suites means fewer organized group activities. The focus is on curated experiences: tastings, cooking classes, and guided experiences rather than pool games and entertainment teams. Off-property excursions are concierge-arranged.

The main amenity for actual swimming. Infinity edge overlooking the Sea of Cortez with dramatic desert cliffs as the backdrop. Views of the water without the swimming — which is the consistent experience across Los Cabos corridor hotels. Quieter than the pools at Grand Velas Los Cabos by a large margin given the 79-suite capacity.
Direct beach access on the Sea of Cortez with Balinese beds, umbrellas, and plush towels provided. The beach offers dramatic views of rocky formations and cerulean waters typical of the Los Cabos Tourist Corridor. The Pacific Ocean here carries strong currents — the beach is best for walking, relaxation, and seasonal whale watching (December through April, when humpback whales migrate through). Not suitable for swimming. A shuttle to calmer swimming beaches nearby is available through the concierge. The beachfront setting provides some of the resort's most spectacular sunrise and sunset views.
Curated wine selection paired with appropriate cheeses. A relaxed included experience for guests who want structured tasting without a formal restaurant setting.
The Agave Tasting Room program covers Mexican spirits in a structured session. One of the more substantive included activities at the property.
Hands-on instruction in Mexican culinary techniques. Scheduled with the culinary team — intimate format given the small property size.
Mexican cacao production and chocolate tasting session. Relaxed educational format.
Daily sessions in a setting appropriate to the desert-meets-sea landscape. Morning beachfront or terrace yoga with the Sea of Cortez backdrop.
Fully equipped facility for guests who maintain workout routines. Smaller than the Velas Los Cabos gym but adequate for the suite count.
The primary swimming option given the non-swimmable beach. Spectacular views over the Sea of Cortez from the infinity edge.
Direct beach access to the Sea of Cortez. Loungers, service, and the dramatic coastal landscape. The water is not swimmable — strong currents are standard for the entire Los Cabos corridor.
Complimentary shuttle and dining access at the adjacent larger resort, including its full restaurant lineup. Effectively expands the dinner options to include Cocina de Autor and the rest of the Grand Velas Los Cabos program.
Cocktail-making sessions with the bar team. Focused on Mexican spirits and tropical preparations.
The resort provides shuttle service to beaches with swimmable water — Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas is the nearest. If swimming in the ocean is a priority, arrange this through the concierge.

December through April, gray and humpback whales migrate through Baja California waters. Concierge-arranged boat tours — one of the most compelling seasonal activities in Los Cabos.
Private or semi-private boat experiences arranged through the concierge. The Sea of Cortez sunset is the primary draw.
Guided snorkeling excursions to nearby sites in the Sea of Cortez. The marine life in the Cortez is exceptional — far better than most Caribbean resort offshore zones.
Guided ATV excursions into the Baja desert landscape. The contrast between desert terrain and the sea makes Los Cabos ATV tours visually distinctive.
Concierge-arranged. Various operators offer encounter and swim programs.
Guided tours of San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The historic art district in San Jose del Cabo is particularly worth visiting on a Thursday gallery walk.
Baja California waters are world-class for blue marlin, dorado, wahoo, and yellowfin tuna. Charter arrangements through the concierge.
On-property spa with the full Se Spa treatment menu including the Seven-Step Water Ceremony. All treatments carry additional charges.
The Sea of Cortez Jacques Cousteau famously called 'the world's aquarium.' Certified dive excursions arranged through the concierge to nearby dive sites.
