Rating8.0
Rating8.0Finest Punta Cana has 11 restaurants and 2 food trucks, all included except for Dommo and Gusto which are reserved for Club-level guests. The two Japanese venues — Melting Pot and Shoji — both have Teppanyaki tables that require reservations booked through the concierge on arrival day, as they fill within a few hours. Surf & Turf is first-come, first-served and tends to have waits after 7 PM during peak season. Duke's Lobster & Seafood on the oceanfront is the resort's most distinctive venue and doesn't require reservations — go for lunch to avoid the dinner crowd.

French
Adults-only French à la carte restaurant, dinner only. Classic French technique — escargot, duck confit, crêpes. The dressier of the standard restaurants; expect patrons in resort elegant attire. No reservations required but arrives early as it seats fewer guests than most other venues.
Global International
Exclusive to Excellence Club and Finest Club adults. The resort's most praised specialty venue — guests consistently cite the Tomahawk steak, onion soup, and foie gras. Also serves Club guests breakfast. Hours not posted on property; ask concierge at check-in.
Signature dishes: Tomahawk steak, onion soup, foie gras, cordon bleu
International
Excellence Club and Finest Club venue serving international à la carte for dinner and a bakery bar at breakfast. The breakfast here is a worthwhile upgrade from the main buffet for club guests — pastry selection is notably better.
Pan-Asian
Pan-Asian restaurant with traditional à la carte tables and Teppanyaki show-cooking. The Teppanyaki tables are the draw — book them at the concierge on arrival day, as they sell out by afternoon. Standard à la carte tables are walk-in, dinner only.
Japanese, Pan-Asian, Sushi, Teppanyaki
Japanese and Pan-Asian venue covering sushi, sashimi, and Teppanyaki. Order the salmon tataki — it appears in nearly every positive review. Teppanyaki requires concierge reservation same as Melting Pot. Regular sushi bar is walk-in.
Signature dishes: Hand-rolled sushi, sashimi, salmon, Tataki
Seafood, Lobster, American
Oceanfront restaurant with swing-seat bar stools along the water — the most Instagram-photographed spot on property. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lobster comes four ways (steamed, thermidor-style, grilled with white wine and garlic, or with linguine). The coconut-crusted red snapper and crab cakes are consistently praised. No reservations; go for lunch to beat the dinner crowd.
Signature dishes: Lobster dishes (steamed in lemon-butter, thermidor-style, grilled with white wine and garlic, or with linguine), coconut-crusted red snapper, ceviche, crab cakes, surf and turf
Surf & Turf (Land and Ocean)
Popular steakhouse-seafood hybrid open for dinner only, no reservations taken. Expect 20-30 minute waits after 7:30 PM during peak season. The wonton brisket with pineapple habanero sauce is the dish that gets mentioned most. Arrive by 6:30 PM if you want to walk straight in.
Signature dishes: Coconut shrimp, wonton brisket with pineapple habanero sauce and hoisin
Steakhouse
Serves lunch and dinner. The tenderloin is the menu standout. Less crowded than Surf & Turf and a reliable backup if the latter has a long wait. Empanadas at lunch are a good quick option.
Signature dishes: Tenderloin, empanadas
Italian
Italian à la carte, dinner only. Solid pasta and wood-fired preparations. No specific dishes dominate guest reviews, which suggests consistent but not exceptional execution — a safe choice when you want Italian without a wait.
Mexican
Mexican à la carte with show-cooking elements — tableside guacamole, visible tortilla preparation. Dinner only. Livelier and louder than most other restaurants at the resort, which works if you're in the mood for that energy.
International Buffet
Main international buffet with live cooking stations. Breakfast and lunch are the busiest meals; dinner is theme-nights only. The chicken and beef stews are specifically praised for seasoning and tenderness. Indoor air-conditioned plus outdoor terrace seating.
Signature dishes: Tender and well-seasoned chicken stews, beef stews
International, Gourmet Salads, Wood-fired Pizzas, Grilled Favorites
Beachfront lunch spot serving gourmet salads, wood-fired pizzas, and grilled items from 11 AM to 4 PM. Casual and open-air — the right call for a beach lunch instead of walking back to the main restaurants. No reservations.
Signature dishes: Gourmet salads, wood-fired pizzas, grilled favorites
Street Food, Casual Fare, Mexican
Outdoor Mexican street food — fajitas, tacos, quesadillas. Good for a quick lunch between activities rather than a sit-down meal. Hours vary; check at guest services.
Signature dishes: Sizzling fajitas, fresh street-style tacos, chicken quesadilla
Sports Bar Fare
Sports bar serving drinks and bar snacks. Multiple screens showing live games. Casual; no food service beyond bar menu items.
Coffee, Ice Cream, Snacks
Coffee, ice cream, and snacks from 7 AM to 10 PM. Best for grabbing a coffee before breakfast or an afternoon treat. Not a meal venue.
Bar/Lounge
Evening cocktail bar open 7 PM to 1 AM. Smart-casual atmosphere. Good spot for pre-dinner drinks if you're not heading directly to a restaurant.
Cocktail Lounge
Late-night bar open 11 PM to 1 AM. Chic setting; serves cocktails and spirits. The logical last stop before returning to your room.
Pool Bar / Swim-up Bar
Swim-up and poolside bar, 9 AM to 6 PM. Standard tropical cocktail menu — piña coladas, rum punches, beer on draft.
Lounge Bar, Snacks
Private lounge for Excellence Club guests with premium bar service and buffet-style snacks. Runs 7 AM to 11 PM, bar opens at 3 PM. The quietest daytime option for club guests.
Lounge Bar, Snacks
Open to all Finest Club guests (all ages). Fresh baked pastries make this worth visiting in the morning before breakfast. Bar opens at 3 PM.
International (General Room Service Menu)
Available 24 hours. Standard menu includes salmon, pasta with tomato sauce, chicken fajitas, and chicken fingers. Club guests have access to an expanded menu. Regular guest reviews suggest the standard menu is more varied than the Club menu in some categories — worth comparing both menus at check-in.
Signature dishes: Salmon, tomato sauce pasta, chicken fajitas, chicken fingers
