This Caribbean Island Just Posted Its Best Tourism Numbers Ever — With Four Luxury Brands Still to Come

Turks and Caicos is having its strongest tourism year on record. The islands welcomed 384,590 stayover visitors in the first six months of 2026, up six percent from the same stretch last year, with second-quarter arrivals hitting the highest total ever recorded for the period.

Air service is doing much of the heavy lifting. BermudAir added six East Coast routes, and United Airlines will launch its first-ever nonstop from Denver to Providenciales in December, the farthest-west direct flight the destination has ever had. More lift means more beds are needed, and the pipeline is filling fast.

Turks and Caicos has already added 177 hotel rooms this year, with another 184 due before the end of 2026. New inventory includes Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos near Grace Bay Beach, a Treasure Beach Village addition at Beaches Turks and Caicos, and 20 new suites at Ellipse Grace Bay.

The bigger story is who is coming next. Andaz, St. Regis, Janu and Four Seasons are all lining up properties on the islands, a concentration of luxury flags that few Caribbean destinations can match. For a market long defined by Grace Bay's condo-resorts and a handful of all-inclusives, the arrival of that many top-tier brands signals a clear move upmarket.

Record arrivals paired with record supply is a rare combination in the Caribbean, where new rooms often chase demand rather than meet it. Turks and Caicos, for now, appears to have both.
