SLS Playa Mujeres Cancun will host Taste of SLS for the first time on Oct. 30-31, 2026, turning the SLS Hotels all-inclusive into a two-night food and music weekend with The Chainsmokers and Bomba Estereo headlining Central Beach.

For resort guests, the pitch is simple: the concerts, tasting stations, pool party, and brunch programming are included in the stay. Nightly event tickets are also sold to visitors who are not overnighting, but the easier move for travelers already eyeing Costa Mujeres is to book the hotel weekend and treat the lineup as the reason to pick those dates.

What happens each night

Friday, Oct. 30, opens with a resort-wide feast on Central Beach from about 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., sampling kitchens across the property. A fire-and-performance set follows, then The Chainsmokers take the beach stage at 9 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 31, starts with a recovery brunch at the Market, then a Twiggy pool party with DJ Roxana in the afternoon. Evening programming returns to Central Beach for the Sabrosura Feast, a swaypole catrina spectacle, and a Bomba Estereo set from 9 to 10:30 p.m. A farewell brunch on Nov. 1 wraps the weekend for guests who stay through Sunday.

Why the food program is the real differentiator

Taste of SLS is built around kitchens guests already book this resort for: Fi'lia for Italian, Caracol for Mexican, Union for steak, Twiggy for lighter coastal plates, The Press for sweets and coffee, and Cleo for Middle Eastern shared plates. The event packs those concepts into beach tasting formats instead of asking you to hunt a la carte reservations all weekend.

That matters in the crowded Cancun and Costa Mujeres market, where many all-inclusives advertise nightlife but few put chart-level acts and a full culinary crawl inside the room rate. SLS is leaning on the brand's party reputation without turning the weekend into a ticket-only festival that leaves hotel guests on the outside.

How to book it without overpaying

SLS says stay rates for the weekend rise 15 percent after Oct. 15, so the calendar decision is now, not mid-month. Confirm whether your room category includes full event access, and if you are traveling with friends who prefer nights out over beach days, this is one of the clearer Cancun-area weekends where the entertainment calendar is the product, not an afterthought.

If you only want one night, buy a food-and-music ticket for Oct. 30 or Oct. 31 and skip the room. If you want the brunch, pool party, and both headline sets without juggling entry lines, book the hotel stay and treat Taste of SLS as the reason those dates are worth the premium.
