Activities at Mystique Holbox by Royalton, A Tribute Portfolio Resort
Holbox Island is the activity, not the resort itself. The included options (kayaking, fitness center, fitness classes) are secondary to the off-site draw of whale shark tours (June–September), bioluminescence night tours, and bird watching at Isla Pajaros. Most of the compelling activities cost extra and require external operators.
Swimming Pools
Modest size relative to the property, but the ocean backdrop makes it more appealing than it sounds. Sun loungers and pool umbrellas. A nearby pool bar serves the area.
Beaches
Direct access from the resort. White sand, calm shallow water, and minimal seaweed compared to the Cancun Hotel Zone. Beachfront loungers and cabana tents with waiter service. The Fresco restaurant also serves to the beach. Not a swimming beach in the traditional sense — the water stays very shallow for 50+ meters — but the tranquility is the point.
Activities & Entertainment
Complimentary. The shallow, flat water around the island makes this genuinely accessible for all skill levels. A practical way to explore the coastline independently.
