Exceptional Butler Service
The dedicated butler service via WhatsApp is consistently praised as the standout feature. Butlers handle restaurant reservations, spa bookings, and special requests with proactive, personalized care that sets the Impression tier apart.
Outstanding Dining Quality
Guest reviews consistently note the food quality far exceeds typical all-inclusive expectations. The Teodoro tasting menu, Dos Almas Mexican cuisine, and the weekly 'Roads to Mexico' street food event are particular highlights.
Spacious, Luxurious Suites
Suites starting at nearly 1,000 sq ft with hot tubs on every balcony, Nespresso machines, twice-daily minibar refresh, and smart room controls consistently impress guests who compare them favorably to standalone luxury hotels.
Exclusive Pool Experience
The private Impression pools — especially the 9th-floor rooftop infinity pool — are quieter, never crowded, with guaranteed lounger availability and attentive service including facial mist cooling sprays.
Resort-Within-Resort Value
Having access to both the intimate 198-suite Impression and the full-scale 485-suite Secrets Moxché means guests get exclusivity and variety simultaneously — 14 restaurants, 10+ pools, and entertainment venues across both properties.
Sargassum Beach Conditions
The most common guest complaint. Seasonal sargassum seaweed (worst May through September) can make the ocean murky and unappealing. The resort manages it actively but cannot fully control this natural phenomenon.
Restaurant Wait Times
Peak dinner hours between 7 and 8 PM can result in 1-2 hour waits at popular restaurants. Advance reservations through the butler are essential to avoid disappointment.
Minor Maintenance Concerns
Despite opening in 2022, some guests note unexpected wear: dirty pool cushions, lobby rug stains, and humidity issues in rooms causing window condensation — unusual for a property of this age and price point.
Corporate Group Disruptions
When corporate events book large sections, restaurants and beach areas may be closed to other guests, significantly impacting the experience for leisure travelers.
Upselling Pressure
Included wines are acknowledged as poor quality, and the resort actively promotes premium wine purchases, timeshare presentations, and Teodoro surcharges for shorter stays — which some guests feel undermines the luxury all-inclusive promise.

Impression Moxché by Secrets opened in December 2022 as the high-tier wing of the Secrets Moxché complex in Playa del Carmen's Corasol community, about 40 minutes south of Cancún International Airport. The 198-suite Impression property operates as a resort-within-a-resort alongside the larger 485-suite Secrets Moxché — Impression guests access both properties' full facilities (14 restaurants, 12 bars, 10+ pools, the shared Secrets Spa by Pevonia) while maintaining exclusive Impression-only pools, two dining venues, and their own service team.
The Endless Privileges rate includes all meals across 14 restaurants, unlimited premium spirits at 12 bars, 24-hour room service via Secret Box delivery, twice-daily minibar refresh with Moët & Chandon and aged rum, butler service via WhatsApp from 7 AM to 11 PM, three daily housekeeping visits, and complimentary laundry. Bvlgari bath amenities, Nespresso machines, wine fridges, and a welcome tequila or rum bottle are standard in every suite. All 198 suites start at 731 square feet and include a private balcony soaking tub — at entry level, without upgrading.
The culinary centerpiece is Teodoro, a seven-course tasting menu restaurant that earned AAA Five Diamond in 2025 — the first restaurant in the Hyatt Inclusive Collection to achieve this. The full dining spread includes Allora (Italian), Bisou (French, AAA Four Diamond), Dos Almas (Mexican with a premium taco tasting bar), Suki (Pan-Asian with teppanyaki), Ember (fire-grilled steaks), Seasoul (beachside seafood), Bamboo (Southeast Asian), Seaside Beach Club, and Cielo Impression Rooftop. The Gypsy speakeasy, accessed through a fake pharmacy door with a nightly password, is a genuinely distinctive feature. Coco Café operates 24 hours. Teodoro is complimentary for stays of five nights or longer — stays under five nights pay $250 per person.
The honest drawbacks: sargassum seaweed is the most consistent complaint from May through September, making ocean swimming unpleasant during peak buildup. Included wines are budget quality — better bottles start at $75-$100 with active upselling. Corporate group buyouts can close restaurants and beach areas with little warning. Some maintenance inconsistencies (stained furnishings, pool cushion condition) are notable for a property opened in 2022. Restaurant reservations at peak hours (7–8 PM) require advance butler booking; walk-in attempts at popular venues can mean 1–2 hour waits.
