The Iberostar Selection Sábila was gutted and rebuilt from the ground up in 2017 — a full renovation, not a refresh — which is why the interiors feel contemporary rather than aged despite the 1989 original opening. The 472-room property sits directly on the Costa Adeje beachfront, with the Fañabé and Torviscas promenade accessible on foot from the front entrance. Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is 11 to 18 km away, roughly 12 to 20 minutes by transfer.
The adults-only policy (minimum age 16) is the primary filter. The resort works for couples and solo travelers who want a European all-inclusive with beach access, minimal noise, and reasonable food quality. The Star Prestige tier adds meaningful perks: exclusive rooftop infinity pool, Sky Lounge with open bar, stocked minibar on arrival, pillow menu, private check-in, and late checkout subject to availability. For guests who won't use those extras, the standard rooms deliver the same beach access and buffet meals at a lower price.
The most common complaint in recent reviews is bed firmness — a specific, recurring issue across multiple room categories that's worth factoring in if you're sensitive to sleep surface. The Gourmet Market restaurant is genuinely well-regarded but operates Wednesday through Sunday only and carries an extra charge even for all-inclusive guests. The pool bar drinks inclusion is also inconsistent — some sources say certain drinks incur charges while others are covered. Clarify this at check-in.
The property has three pools, two of which are generally accessible and one (the Star Prestige rooftop) that's reservation-restricted. The spa, at 600 square meters, has four treatment cabins and a hydrotherapy circuit that typically incurs an extra fee. Two Blue Flag beaches — Fañabé and Torviscas — are directly accessible from the hotel.
