JOIA Aruba by Iberostar (marketed also as Iberostar Grand Aruba) opened in January 2025, making it one of the newest large resorts on Eagle Beach. The building was completed in 2024 from the ground up — no renovation-era compromises or dated infrastructure. All 240 units are suites, starting at roughly 592 square feet, with ocean, pool, or side-ocean orientations. Swim-out suites with direct terrace pool access are among the most requested categories.
The property targets adults — primarily couples and honeymooners — though it officially accepts guests of all ages and operates a Kids Club. The rooftop adults-only pool is a genuine retreat: smaller, quieter, with a bar and unobstructed ocean views. Star Prestige guests access an additional members-only pool. The main infinity pool with swim-up bar handles the majority of daytime traffic and gets lively by midday.
Travelers who want a structured beach holiday without leaving property will be satisfied here. Eagle Beach itself sits directly in front of the resort, with the soft white sand and calm, navigable water that earned it repeated top rankings. Beach chairs fill up early during peak season — arriving before 9 AM is a practical strategy.
Dining operates on an all-inclusive model but with a restaurant system that requires reservations at the specialty venues. Bucatini Market & Cucina handles breakfast as an extensive buffet (including a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar) and converts to Italian for dinner. Marea covers modern Caribbean at lunch and dinner. Bone Fire Grill House specializes in wood-fired meat and fish at dinner only. All three require advance booking. The ZIMA Rooftop Bar serves cocktails and tapas and is consistently praised as the atmospheric highlight of the property.
Spa Sensations has seven treatment areas and five indoor plus two outdoor cabins — a scale rarely found in Aruba. The hydrotherapy circuit includes a pool with jets, Turkish bath, Roman bath, thalassotherapy pool, whirlpool, and sensation shower. Most treatments are priced separately. The gym is well-equipped and uncrowded compared to larger resorts.
