Dining Guide for Hotel Riu Reggae

Eleven venues total across restaurants and bars, all included in the 24-hour all-inclusive rate. The four specialty restaurants (Kulinarium, Grill and Steakhouse, Dolce Vita, Bambu) are dinner-only and require reservations — but unlike many Cancun resorts, they typically don't fill days in advance. Same-day booking at the front desk or concierge is usually fine. The standout at lunch is the poolside Jerk Station: skip the buffet that meal and go there instead.

Kulinarium

Included

Gourmet, Fusion

Gourmet fusion à la carte, dinner only. The most formal restaurant on property — long trousers required for men. Menu changes periodically and leans toward creative international dishes rather than a single cuisine. Worth booking once during your stay if you want a sit-down dinner that feels different from the buffet.

Grill And Steakhouse

Included

Steakhouse, Grilled Meats

Poolside steakhouse serving grilled meats à la carte. Open-air terrace setting makes it the most scenic dinner option. The kitchen is praised for its beef cuts, which hold up better than the buffet proteins. Book on arrival day — it fills faster than the other specialty venues.

Dolce Vita

Included

Italian

Italian à la carte for mains, buffet for starters and desserts. Standard Riu Italian format — the pastas are serviceable, the starters buffet better than average. Dress code applies (long trousers for men). No advance reservations needed — same-evening booking works.

Bambu

Included

Asian

Asian restaurant with à la carte mains and a buffet for starters and desserts. Draws mixed reviews — the format is fine but the dishes lean generic rather than specific to any one Asian cuisine. Good option if the other specialty restaurants are full.

International Buffet

Main international buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with live cooking stations and three themed buffet nights per week. Breakfast is the strongest meal — the variety is solid and the live station gets busy fast. Dinner quality is inconsistent; food temperatures draw the most guest complaints. Dress code at dinner: covered shoulders for men.
