Activities at Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills Resort & Spa
Daily program covers pool activities, land sports, fitness, kids club, and evening entertainment. The trekking trails through the ecological reserve on the hillside are one of the more unusual included activities — genuinely worthwhile for guests who like walking through jungle rather than just around a pool. Eva Mandarina Beach Club is the base for beach activities. Snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, and sailing at the beach club are at extra charge.
Swimming Pools
Main Activity Pools & Whirlpool
Two infinity pools overlooking Banderas Bay with a whirlpool. The primary family-friendly pool area with volleyball and organized activities. El Mirador snack bar adjacent. Active and social during daytime.
Two adults-only pools (infinity style and round pool) with a large sun deck and five hot tubs positioned among the trees. This is the quietest and most atmospheric pool section on the property — particularly good in the late afternoon when the views of Banderas Bay are at their best.
Free-form mineral pool in a quiet, secluded area with padded lounge chairs. La Parota Health Bar adjacent for fresh juices. The most peaceful daytime pool option.
Shallow dedicated area for children. Safe depth, adjacent to kids club area.
On the terraces of Master Suites and select larger suites. Private soaking with bay or jungle views.
Makawe Spa Zen Plunge Pool
Part of the spa hydrotherapy circuit. Cool plunge pool in the Zen garden setting adjacent to the treatment huts.
Beaches
Private beach club on Banderas Bay's white sand, 10 minutes from the resort by shuttle (shuttle runs approximately every 10-30 minutes). Pristine beach with crystal-clear water. Complimentary sun loungers, shade, non-motorized water sports, and all-inclusive drinks. Mexican a la carte menu (ceviches, tacos, seafood) from noon to 5:30 PM. Open 10 AM to 6 PM. The beach club is excellent — the scheduling constraint of shuttle timing is the main practical limitation.
