Makris Fine Dining, led by chef Patron Petros Dimas (Michelin-starred), has won the FNL Best Restaurant Award for Contemporary Greek Cuisine in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and holds ATHINORAMA Toques d'Or recognition. On the same property, Jerár is a rooftop pop-up fine dining experience drawing on the chef's Michelin-noted Athens bistro. For guests who choose hotels around dining quality, this is the relevant fact: Miramare has two serious fine dining operations, not one.
The property is adults-only (16+), which means no children's programming, no kids' club, and an atmosphere calibrated for quiet luxury. This is a resort for couples, honeymoons, and adult groups who want an Ionian Sea setting without the competing demands of a family resort. The Haute Living Selection tier adds a private lounge, pre-booked VIP beach sun loungers, dedicated concierge, and unlimited gourmet snacks and beverages — worth the premium for guests who want that level of service.
The honest caveat: the beach is pebble and shingle, which is typical of Corfu's coastline but disappointing for guests expecting sand. The 600-meter private beach is beautiful and quiet, but you need water shoes for comfortable entry. Also, Makris Fine Dining is closed Wednesday and Thursday — if your itinerary is limited, plan your priority dinner on a Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday.
