Rating8.0Around 30 included activities with an unusually strong cultural component for the Club Med brand. Muay Thai boxing lessons and Thai cooking classes are the differentiators. Flying trapeze, archery, tennis, padel, pickleball, and squash cover the sports side. Kata Beach is directly accessible for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Kids' clubs run from 4 months to 17 years with tiered programs. Scuba diving and off-site excursions cost extra.
Redesigned in 2022. Large outdoor freshwater pool with three depth zones for different ages. Teak deckchairs, parasols, and showers. The central social gathering point for most guests.
Adults-only (20+) outdoor freshwater pool with views over Karon Bay. No lifeguard on duty — supervision is the guest's responsibility. Arrive by 10am to claim a sun lounger; this pool fills early during peak periods.
Outdoor pool for children 4+ within the Mini Club area. Supervised.
Shallow outdoor pool (0.3m–0.9m) within the Kids' Club area for the youngest guests. Supervised.
Water slides, wading pools, and splash features in the dedicated Family Oasis zone. Adjacent to the Family Oasis rooms and the snack bar. Buggy service connects it to the main resort.
Public beach — the resort holds the longest beachfront on Kata, but there are no private Club Med loungers on the sand itself. Fine sand, generally safe swimming November–April. Red flags during monsoon season (May–October) indicate dangerous rip tides; snorkeling and kayaking are halted on those days. Surfers use this beach in monsoon season for consistent small waves. The evening markets just outside the resort on Kata Road are directly walkable.
Equipment included. Kata Beach conditions are best November–April. Snorkeling access within swimming depth from the beach. During monsoon season (May–October), red flag days prevent these activities — factor this into travel dates.
