Club Med Les Boucaniers has been operating on the Pointe Marin coastline in Sainte-Anne since 1969, making it one of the oldest Club Med properties in the Caribbean. Recent renovation work has touched the accommodations, common areas, and restaurants — the property feels refreshed rather than new. A more substantial transformation is planned for November 2026, when a new adults-only Zen Oasis section will open with its own dedicated rooms, sea-view suites, and a separate zen pool. The resort is 50 minutes (35km) by road from Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport.
Les Boucaniers earns its reputation primarily through water sports: waterskiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, and paddleboarding are all included with instruction, and the resort's iconic arc-shaped XXL pontoon is specifically designed as a water-ski launch platform — visible from the beach and used daily. The padel program is legitimately impressive; the resort now has more courts than any other property on the island. The Creole cultural identity runs through the food and G.O. programming rather than just the decor.
The honest gap: there is no dedicated kids' club right now. The resort markets to adults, couples, and active vacationers — families with young children who expect supervised childcare should look elsewhere in the Club Med Caribbean portfolio until the Zen Oasis opens and the programming matures. External visitors can access some resort facilities on certain days, which occasionally affects crowd levels in the restaurants.
Practically: 250 rooms across several accommodation clusters (Village Créole, Quartier du Planteur, Quartier du Port, Tour du Port). The Junior Suite in Tour du Port at 43 sq m is the best value step-up if you want sea views without going to suite category. All standard rooms are 23–43 sq m — compact by Caribbean resort standards. The beach (Playa Pointe Marin) consistently tests free of sargassum and has calm, clear water. Price tier is mid-to-upper Club Med Caribbean range.
