Club Med La Rosière opened in 2021 — making it the newest Club Med resort in the French Alps at the time of this writing. The location in La Rosière at 1,850–1,950 meters elevation gives direct ski-in/ski-out access to the San Bernardo ski domain, which is notable for crossing the French-Italian border: guests ski from France into the Aosta Valley and back on the same lift pass. This cross-border skiing is genuinely unusual for an all-inclusive ski package.
The building itself merits mention beyond marketing. Club Med designates La Rosière as its first 'smart building' — 4,000 sensors monitor and adjust energy consumption, reducing annual use by 15–20%. The local stone and timber architecture integrates more deliberately into the alpine landscape than Club Med's older ski properties. An Exclusive Collection Space was added in 2023, creating a two-tier experience within the same property.
The dining program runs two restaurants plus four bars. The San Bernardo Gourmet Lounge uses cross-border sourcing — Savoyard cheese and charcuterie alongside Aosta Valley specialties — making it worth a dedicated dinner beyond the main buffet. The myBlend spa at 650 sq meters is the largest Club Med spa in the Alps, with a more developed treatment menu than typical ski resort spas.
As a resort that opened in 2021, the room condition is newer than most Club Med Alps properties. However, limited guest review data exists compared to established properties — the pro of a modern building and the con of less predictable operational maturity. The Exclusive Collection Suites and Master Family Suites are the premium product; the Master Family Suite carries the highest occupancy configuration.
Practical context: Chambéry Airport is 90 minutes; Geneva Airport is 2 hours 50 minutes with broader international connections; Bourg Saint-Maurice train station is 35 minutes by car — a practical option for guests traveling via Paris by TGV. 16 room categories across the standard and Exclusive Collection tiers.
