The Japow Experience
Guests consistently rave about the resort's prime location in Kiroro, offering access to some of the world's finest, lightest powder snow, enhancing the overall ski and snowboard experience.
Engaging GO Team
The G.O.s are frequently praised for their genuine dedication, warmth, and ability to forge personal connections, significantly enriching the social and overall holiday experience.
Hassle-Free Ski Holidays
The comprehensive all-inclusive package, covering lift passes, lessons, equipment arrangements, and gourmet dining, allows guests to fully relax and enjoy their ski trip without logistical worries.
Relaxing Onsen Retreat
The traditional Japanese onsen facilities, including the outdoor rotenburo, are a consistent highlight, offering a serene and rejuvenating sanctuary after an active day on the slopes.
High-Quality Ski Instructors
Professional instructors are frequently mentioned for their exceptional patience and ability to significantly improve guests' ski and snowboard skills, making learning enjoyable and effective.
Adults-Only Policy
The resort's 12+ age policy means it is not suitable for families with young children, who are instead advised to consider Club Med Kiroro Grand.
Remote Location & Transfer Costs
While offering pristine natural beauty, the resort's secluded setting results in a potentially significant and costly two-hour transfer from New Chitose Airport.
Variable Weather Impacts
Guests should be prepared for potential slope closures due to high winds, a characteristic of Kiroro's alpine environment, which can affect skiing plans.
Potential Dining Repetition
Due to the resort's boutique nature and fewer dining venues compared to larger Club Meds, some guests on longer stays might experience a sense of culinary repetition despite high food quality.
No Interconnecting Rooms
Groups or families with older children seeking adjacent rooms should note the absence of interconnecting room options, which might impact their accommodation arrangements.

Club Med Kiroro Peak is the more polished of two Club Med properties sharing the Kiroro ski area in Hokkaido. It launched in December 2022 and was elevated to Exclusive Collection status — Club Med's top tier — in December 2024. At 126 rooms, it's a boutique property by ski resort standards, which is precisely the point: smaller groups, a quieter atmosphere, and a higher staff-to-guest ratio than the adjacent family-focused Kiroro Grand.
This is an adults-only property (minimum age 12). That restriction shapes everything: there are no kids' clubs, no children's pool, no themed family entertainment. The trade-off is a noticeably calmer environment that couples, solo skiers, and groups of friends consistently prefer. Guests also benefit from cross-access to the specialty restaurants at the neighboring Club Med Kiroro Grand — three à la carte venues (sushi, yakiniku, hot pot) available at extra cost, plus access to the Grand's onsen.
One frequently noted friction point deserves honest mention: the ski-in/ski-out designation is disputed by some guests. While the building has slope-adjacent access, the exact configuration of the return route means some guests experience it as less seamless than the term implies. Worth clarifying with the resort directly before booking if this is a primary selling point for you. Additionally, at its boutique size, dining and bar variety within the Peak building itself is limited — The Otaru buffet and The View Bar are the core in-house options.
Practical details: 126 rooms across eight categories from 301 sq ft (Superior) to Family Suites. 7 spa treatment rooms at the on-site Club Med Spa by Mandara. All-inclusive covers group ski and snowboard lessons, lift passes, and dining at The Otaru. New Chitose Airport (CTS) transfer runs 90–120 minutes. The ski season extends to May, longer than most French Alps resorts.
Guests wanting more dining variety within the all-inclusive rate should note that Peak's included restaurant is one venue (The Otaru buffet). The three specialty restaurants at Kiroro Grand are accessible but carry an extra charge — budget for at least a couple of those dinners as part of the total trip cost.
