Rating8.0The CREACTIVE by Cirque du Soleil program is the activity highlight — flying trapeze, aerial silks, and acrobatic wall are all included and genuinely available to adults and kids, not just for show. Beyond that, the resort includes a broad roster of water sports (sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling), tennis, archery, pickleball, beach volleyball, and group fitness. Water sports benefit from the calm bay side and the more active ocean side of the peninsula — conditions differ meaningfully. Activities requiring separate sign-up tend to fill quickly; check the daily schedule board the evening before.
Freshwater infinity pool positioned centrally between the sea and lagoon. Open to all guests. The main social space mid-day — expect crowds from late morning through mid-afternoon. Less busy at 8–9 AM and after 5 PM. Swim-up bar not attached; Las Velas bar is nearby.
Oceanfront pool in the Aguamarina cluster, exclusive to family oasis guests. Water games and cabanas available. Marina Bar serves mocktails and snacks poolside. Opens at 10 AM — families with very young early risers should factor this in. Less crowded than the main pool.
Mexico-themed splash park with water jets, play stations, and slides. Accessible to children 4 and up. Timed opening (10 AM) is the main logistical friction for families. High-energy space — not for guests seeking quiet pool time.
Seafront infinity pool exclusively for Jade guests. Notably quieter than the main pool. Enhanced service from poolside staff. The combination of location and exclusivity is the clearest practical benefit of the Jade upgrade for guests who prioritize pool relaxation over beach.
Three beaches on the peninsula. The bay-facing beach has shallow, calm water suitable for young children and beginner snorkelers. The ocean-facing beach has more chop and is where water sports (windsurfing, sailing) operate. Proximity to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef makes snorkeling notably good for a hotel-zone beach. The beaches are white sand but not isolated — the resort sees regular occupancy. Complimentary cabanas may be available; private upgrade cabanas cost extra.
Included. Equipment and basic instruction available for beginners. The bay side of the peninsula offers calmer conditions for learning. Worth doing early in your stay to maximize session time.
Included. The proximity to sections of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef is what makes this activity notable — it's not resort-engineered snorkeling. Gear provided at the beach. Morning light is better for visibility.
Included. Lagoon-side kayaking is calm and easy; ocean-side can have choppier conditions. Available throughout the day from the beach equipment station.
Included. Equipment provided. Calm lagoon side is easiest for beginners. G.O. staff are available for instruction if needed.
Included. Equipment and guidance provided. The ocean-facing beach is better suited for this given wind exposure. Requires some prior experience to get the most out of the session.
Included. Dedicated courts. Organized by G.O. staff with group play and introductory sessions available. Growing in popularity — courts can book up by midmorning.
Included. Professional guidance provided. Sessions are typically organized and timed — check the daily schedule. Popular with kids in the 8–15 range.
Included. Multiple courts available. Group lessons organized by staff. Court availability is generally good outside peak morning hours.
Included. Organized games on the beach most afternoons. Drop-in friendly — no advance signup required.
Included. Cardio training, aqua aerobics, and yoga sessions all run daily. Aqua aerobics takes place in the main pool and fills quickly — arrive a few minutes early.
Included. Over 20 hours of yoga and meditation weekly at the dedicated Lagoon View Yoga Palapa. Family and sunset sessions run in addition to standard classes. Consistently well-reviewed by guests who use it.
Structured care and age-appropriate activities for infants. Extra cost — confirm pricing when booking. Baby equipment kit (bathtub, bottle warmer, stroller, changing table) available on request. Sunday through Friday operation, 9 AM–5 PM.
Included. Flying trapeze, sailing, treasure hunts, cooking program (Petit Chef), and circus-themed activities. Operates Sunday through Friday, 9 AM–5 PM. One of the more substantive kids' club programs in the all-inclusive market.
Included. Teen-specific zone with slacklining, sports, flying trapeze, and unstructured chill time. Designed to avoid forcing participation — teens can engage at their own pace.
Included. G.O. staff run themed shows at Maya Lounge before it opens as a nightclub. Show quality varies by night but the flying trapeze performances are genuinely impressive. Dance lessons offered earlier in the evening.
Extra cost. Guided dives on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Given the reef's quality, this is worth the added expense for certified divers. Introductory courses available for beginners.
Extra cost. Offshore excursion. Prices and availability vary seasonally — inquire at the activities desk on arrival.
Extra cost. Hybrid snorkeling/diving experience requiring no certification. Good option for guests curious about underwater exploration who don't want a full scuba course.
Extra cost. Water jet-powered hovering experience. Popular but pricey — ask for current rates at the watersports desk.
Extra cost. Access to nearby courses. Not on-site — transport required. Inquire at activities desk for current partnered courses and rates.

Extra cost. Evening childcare for ages 4 months to 7 years. Useful for parents who want adult dining time. Book at the kids' club desk, not last-minute.
Extra cost. Tulum and other Mayan sites are the most popular. Book through the resort excursions desk rather than independently if you want guided context — comparable pricing.
Extra cost. Curated spa menu for teens. Available at Club Med Spa by Ahava. Book in advance — teen-specific slots are limited.
