Rating8.0Adults OnlyThis is a city hotel — the activity program reflects that. Limited resort-style activities. The primary activity is exploring Santo Domingo itself.
7th-floor rooftop pool with panoramic Caribbean Sea views. Urban scale — not a resort lap pool or activity pool. The views are excellent; the pool itself is for relaxation rather than exercise. Some guest reviews report cold water temperature. Closes in the early evening — confirm hours at check-in.
The Malecón is an oceanfront promenade — concrete seawall and boulevard rather than sand. There is no beach here. It's an excellent walking street with ocean views, but guests who want to swim in the Caribbean need to arrange transport to Guibia Beach or Boca Chica.
The nearest public beach, within a few kilometers. Urban beach with moderate water quality — functional for swimming but not the pristine Caribbean experience.
Better beach option, approximately 25 minutes east of the hotel. White sand and calmer water than the city beaches. Worth the drive for a full beach day.
Outdoor pool with Caribbean Sea views. Open during daytime; closing time varies and draws complaints from guests who want late afternoon swims. Not a beach pool — urban rooftop scale.
Full gym with cardio and weight equipment. Included for all guests.
The hotel's concierge arranges guided tours of the nearby Colonial Zone — the oldest European settlement in the Americas, with 16th-century architecture and multiple UNESCO-listed structures. Walkable from the hotel.
