Activities at Barceló Bávaro Palace

The activity list is enormous — water sports, golf, tennis, cooking classes, dance lessons, fitness classes, and Pirates Island Water Park. Non-motorized watersports (kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling) are included. Golf requires a separate fee — expect around $100-130 per round. Pirates Island Water Park is included in the all-inclusive rate. The 24/7 Sports Bar has a billiards table and multiple screens. Sign up for higher-demand activities (cooking classes, dance lessons) at the activities desk on day one.

Swimming Pools

Main Pools

Multiple interconnected pools near the central resort area. Swim-up bar, aqua aerobics during the day, DJ afternoons at weekends. Can get very crowded between 10 AM and 3 PM — if you want a quieter swim, use the early morning before the activity programs start.

Semi-Olympic Pool

Designated quiet pool away from the main activity area. Smaller but significantly calmer. Best option for couples who aren't interested in pool games and music.

Adults-Only Pool (El Cielo)

Separate pool areas attached to the water park. Wave pool is a genuine draw. Depth ranges from shallow splash areas up to 4 feet. Busiest on weekends.

Kids' Pool

A swimming pool specifically designed with the comfort and safety of younger children in mind, offering a fun aquatic environment.

Barcy Water Park

Designed for younger children, this free-access water park features castles, engaging water slides, and gentle waterfalls, supervised by qualified instructors and lifeguards.

Pirates Island Water Park

A thrilling pirate-themed water park offering a wave pool and exhilarating water slides, catering to more adventurous family members (minimum height 3 feet 11 inches required for slides). Access is free for Premium Level guests, otherwise, it's an extra charge.

Swim-up Bar Pool

At least one of the resort's pools features an integrated swim-up bar, allowing adults to enjoy refreshing drinks without leaving the water in a tranquil setting.

Beaches

Bávaro Beach (Playa Bávaro)

A wide, well-maintained stretch of fine white sand with calm, turquoise water. One of the genuine highlights of this resort and the reason to choose it over inland alternatives. Seaweed (sargassum) is an intermittent seasonal issue from June to September but resort staff clear it regularly. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided but the best spots go fast. Water sports desk on the beach.
