Rating6.6Activity programme covers non-motorized water sports (1 hour per day complimentary — kayaking, snorkeling, paddle surfing, catamaran), an extensive group fitness schedule (Zumba, TRX, aqua spinning, yoga), and evening entertainment including live shows and themed parties. The Congas Bachata Night Club at Bahia Principe Village is free entry for guests. Most daytime activities are walk-in; motorized water sports, PADI courses, and excursions are extra charge.
Adults-only. Large central pool with swim-up bar, two integrated whirlpools, and a waterslide. Private cabanas available. The quietest and most refined pool area in the Grand complex — a genuine benefit of the adults-only designation. Most active from 10am–4pm; quieter in early morning and late afternoon.
Seven additional pools across the Grand Bavaro, Grand Punta Cana, and Grand Turquesa properties are accessible to Aquamarine guests. Note that these are shared with families at the other properties — you're crossing into the family resort zones when you use them.
Select suites have semi-private pool access from their terrace. Not available in all room categories — confirm at booking if this is important to you.
Private resort section of Arena Gorda, one of Bavaro's better stretches — powder white sand, clear water, well-maintained. A short trolley ride from the hotel (not walkable in the heat). Wave height above 1.5m triggers a swim ban, which happens a few times per week in windier periods. Non-motorized water sports available here (1 hour/day included). Chairs are limited relative to the number of guests across the complex — 8am arrival is the practical minimum for a good spot.
