Rating9.0
Rating8.1The activities program at ATELIER leans toward culture and wellness rather than competitive sports or water-park style entertainment. Art workshops, cooking classes, and tequila tastings are more representative of what most guests here actually do with their days than beach volleyball or poolside games. Motorized water sports and golf cost extra and are arranged through external providers.

The main social pool at 1,360 m² (14,639 sq ft) with a swim-up bar and regular activity programming. This is where most of the daytime energy concentrates. Heated. The swim-up bar here (Limón y Sal) gets busy by mid-morning — arrive early for a good spot.
At 209 m² (2,250 sq ft), this is the smaller, calmer option closer to the beach. Also has a swim-up bar, but the vibe is deliberately quieter. Guests who find the main pool too active migrate here. Heated.
Heated infinity pool on the fifth floor at El Cielo, exclusively for INSPIRA suite guests. The views over the ocean are the main draw — one of the better rooftop pool settings in the Cancun resort market. Naturally less crowded due to the INSPIRA-only access.
Private heated pool area with Bali beds and dedicated pool concierge. INSPIRA access only. Quieter and more attentive service than any of the open pools. The Bali beds fill up quickly even within the INSPIRA guest population — arrive early to claim one.
Semi-private heated swim lanes with direct terrace access from Swim-Out suite categories. The semi-private nature means the lane is shared with adjacent suites — not fully private, but significantly less traffic than the main pools.
Private heated outdoor plunge pools on the terraces of Ocean Front and Rooftop INSPIRA suite categories. Genuinely private — the most exclusive pool option on property. Available only in the higher INSPIRA room tiers.
White sand beach with calm, clear water protected by Isla Mujeres — the natural barrier keeps waves minimal and the water swimmable without fighting currents. Seaweed is markedly less of an issue here than on Hotel Zone beaches. Lounge chairs and Bali beds available throughout the day with drink service. Kayaking and paddleboarding launch from here at no extra charge. INSPIRA Beach offers a separate, less crowded section with upgraded service for INSPIRA guests.
Non-motorized water sports from the beach, included in all rates. The calm water protected by Isla Mujeres makes these practical — not just available. Good for morning use before the beach gets crowded.
Pool-based fitness classes for all levels. A social activity that draws a consistent crowd at morning and midday sessions. The aqua gym format works well in the heated pools.
Leisurely sailing sessions from the beach. The calm, protected water makes this more accessible than sailing at exposed beach properties. Availability varies — check the daily schedule at the activities desk.
Beach volleyball, Spike Ball, Boccia, tennis, basketball, pickleball, mini-golf, and archery all available. The variety is broader than most all-inclusive properties in this tier. Pickleball courts are a relatively new addition and fill quickly.
Complimentary bikes for exploring the resort grounds and surrounding Playa Mujeres area. The neighborhood is relatively low-traffic and bikeable compared to the Hotel Zone.
Full Technogym equipment including weights, cardio machines, and a multifunctional room for TRX. One of the better-equipped resort gyms on this stretch of coast — the Technogym brand matters for guests who train regularly.
Yoga by the water, Zumba, aqua aerobics (standard, stretching, and strength formats), and boot camp sessions. Check the daily schedule — morning yoga by the beach is the most popular slot and fills up.
Evening shows at the theater including the Sand Show and 80's Tribute productions. Quality is consistently better than the typical all-inclusive entertainment program — several guests mention the shows as a highlight.
Musical performances at El Cielo and Bar de La Calle most evenings. The rooftop setting for El Cielo music performances is the standout — worth timing a drink there on a show night.
Silent disco nights and karaoke sessions at El Deseo. More of a late-night activity than an early evening one. The silent disco format works well for a property that otherwise keeps noise levels low.
Special evenings including Caribbean Dinner with a fire show and salsa classes. Check what's scheduled during your stay dates — theme nights often overlap with the best dining and entertainment combinations of the week.
Hands-on sessions covering guacamole, ceviche, and sushi preparation with culinary staff. The guacamole class in particular is frequently cited as a memorable and fun afternoon activity.
Expert-guided tastings at Bar La Cantina covering multiple tequila varieties. Genuinely educational sessions rather than just a marketing event — the staff knowledge level is high. Reserve a spot early in your stay.
Salsa instruction and performances including Prehispanic Contemporary Mexican shows. The dance lessons are participatory — not just watching. Good for couples who want an activity they can do together.
Painting, ceramics, Huichol bead art, and piñata making offered throughout the week. The Huichol art class in particular connects to the resort's Mexican art and design identity. Exhibitions change periodically and are worth viewing on arrival.
Functions as the resort's late-night venue after shows end. Stays open into the early hours. The only space on property that functions like a nightclub — suits guests who want to extend their evening beyond the bar circuit.
Jet skiing and parasailing through external companies at extra cost. Not included in any room rate. Book directly with the beach vendors — pricing is per session and non-negotiable.
Diving excursions arranged through external providers at additional cost. The waters near Playa Mujeres and Isla Mujeres offer good visibility for reef diving. Not included — factor the extra cost into your budget if diving is important.
Access to the 18-hole Playa Mujeres Golf Club at discounted rates for standard guests. INSPIRA guests staying 7+ nights get two complimentary rounds. The course is Jack Nicklaus-designed and plays along the lagoon — one of the better resort-adjacent courses in the Cancun area.
Day trips to Chichen Itza, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, and fishing excursions booked at the concierge desk at extra cost. The Isla Mujeres trip is the shortest and most popular — the ferry from Puerto Juárez is nearby. Chichen Itza from here is a full-day commitment.
