Stunning Pools
The resort's various swimming pools, especially the serene infinity pools for 'My Favorite Club' guests, are a major highlight.
Great Breakfast & À La Carte
Breakfast at the buffet is generally good, and the quality of the Mare Nubium à la carte restaurant is highly appreciated.
Peaceful Location
The hotel offers a tranquil setting, conveniently located a short distance from Tsilivi and Zakynthos town.
Overall Cleanliness
The resort maintains high standards of cleanliness for both rooms and public areas.
Repetitive Buffet Food
Lunch and dinner options at the buffet can become repetitive for guests staying longer, despite initial variety.
Room & Bathroom Quality
There are mixed reports on room condition, with some citing shabby interiors, grubby bathrooms, and poor layouts, including slippery floors.
Rocky Beach & Fees
The immediate beach is stony rather than sandy, and sunbeds/umbrellas often require an extra payment, which can be a drawback for beach lovers.
Mobility Challenges
The property's numerous steps make it potentially unsuitable for guests with mobility issues or those who prefer easy access.
Additional Costs
Guests should be aware that some 'all-inclusive' services, like extra à la carte meals, spa treatments, or specific amenities, incur additional fees.

Green & Fair Hotel
TUI
The two infinity pools reserved exclusively for My Favourite Club guests are the most distinctive feature at AluaSoul Zakynthos. The Ionian Sea view from those pools — positioned above Amboula Beach with nothing between you and the water — is genuinely strong. Non-MFC guests use the main outdoor pool and the swim-up bar pool, which are good but conventional. That distinction between tiers is clearer here than at most Alua properties.
The hotel sits directly on Amboula Beach, a Blue Flag certified stretch 50 meters from the main building. The catch that surprises some guests: Amboula is primarily pebble and stone rather than sand, and sun loungers on the beach typically carry an additional charge. Water shoes are a practical addition for this beach. The adjacent Ionian Sea is calm and very clear — the water quality is what keeps guests satisfied despite the rocky entry.
For 162 rooms, the accommodation range is well-differentiated. Standard doubles run 269 sq ft; junior suites push to 301 sq ft with a separate living area. The beachfront MFC junior suites and the swim-up frontal sea view suites are the strongest categories — the swim-up option gives private terrace access to a shared pool plus the full MFC service layer, including unlimited à la carte dinners at Mare Nubium. For standard all-inclusive guests, one Mare Nubium dinner per seven-night stay is included. Book that dinner on the first day; it fills quickly.
Food is where guest reviews show the most variance. The buffet at Terra Café is consistent for breakfast and covers three meals, but a week on the same rotation tests patience. Themed dinner nights — Greek, Italian, grill — are the better evenings to stay on-property. Mare Nubium is worth the effort to book: smaller and more carefully executed than the main restaurant, it provides real relief from buffet repetition.
A practical note on accessibility: the resort has many steps between areas. Guests with mobility limitations should request ground-floor rooms and confirm the route between their building, the pools, and the restaurant on arrival. Zakynthos International Airport (ZTH) is 10-12 km away, an 11-12 minute drive. A rental car opens up the island considerably — Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach) and the blue caves on the north coast are 30-40 minute drives and worth the detour.
