After a €3.5 million renovation completed in April 2023, AluaSoul Mallorca Resort has carved out a clear identity on the southeast coast: a 371-room, adults-only (16+) property on Cala Egos cove where the beach is genuinely walkable, the pools don't cater to children, and the optional 'My Favorite Club' tier adds enough concrete perks to make the upgrade worth calculating. That two-tier structure — standard all-inclusive versus club-level — is the defining quirk of this resort, and it shapes almost every aspect of the experience.
This property suits couples and groups of friends who want a Mediterranean beach base with decent food and evening entertainment but don't need the frenzied activity programming of a larger resort. The adults-only rule creates a reliably calm pool area most of the day, the six dining venues cover breakfast through late evening, and the Cala Egos beach itself — shallow, calm water, white sand — is as good as Mallorca's east coast gets. Skip it if you want a marina-adjacent nightlife scene or a mega-resort with water parks; this is a contained, quiet-ish operation.
The honest weakness here is the room stock. Despite the 2023 renovation, guests consistently flag musty odors, dated fixtures, thin walls between rooms, and spotty in-room Wi-Fi (charged separately, unlike the free public-area Wi-Fi). The main pool also gets crowded by 10 AM — if a sunbed by the water matters to you, you need to be there early. The spa's massages attract repeated complaints about being overpriced relative to quality.
Practically: the resort holds 371 rooms across standard doubles, junior suites, and My Favorite Club suites running up to 474 sq ft. The all-inclusive rate covers the main buffet, à la carte restaurants (reservation required), afternoon beach snacks, and most bars. Room service is available at extra cost. Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is 46–50 minutes by road; a private taxi runs around €90 each way. The resort operates on a seasonal schedule — verify exact open dates before booking.
Best timing is late May through June or September, when temperatures are manageable, the beach is accessible, and occupancy is lower than peak summer. Book My Favorite Club rooms specifically if the private pool and lounge access matter — the standard upgrade to 'sea view' alone adds limited value relative to cost.
