General Cleanliness
The hotel and its rooms are largely maintained to a high standard, with guests frequently noting the property is very clean and well-kept.
Indoor Heated Pool
This facility is a major draw and highly valued, offering a comfortable swimming option especially during cooler or windy weather when outdoor pools are too cold.
Spacious and Comfortable Rooms
Many guests find the accommodations to be generously sized and comfortable, providing ample space for relaxation despite some dated elements.
Food Quality and Repetitiveness
The most significant and frequent complaint revolves around the buffet food's quality, limited variety, and repetitive nature, which can significantly detract from the all-inclusive experience.
Accessibility Challenges
The hotel's location on a steep hill and the challenging walk to the beach with a difficult uphill return are major warnings for those with mobility impairments, young children, or prams.
Cold Outdoor Pools
Despite Fuerteventura's sunny climate, many guests note that the outdoor pools are unheated and often freezing cold, limiting their use and enjoyment.
Wi-Fi Reliability
Guests frequently report slow and unreliable Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the hotel, often forcing them to rely on personal mobile data for consistent access.
Entertainment Language Barrier
A recurring issue for non-French speakers is that the animation team primarily conducts activities in French, which can make it challenging for other guests to participate and feel included.

Alua Village Fuerteventura sits on the Jandia Peninsula in Esquinzo, the southern tip of Fuerteventura facing the Atlantic. The location is genuinely remote — the nearest town is Morro Jable, and most exploration requires a car or taxi. The tradeoff is spectacular Atlantic views from a hillside position and proximity to Playa Esquinzo-Butihondo, one of the longest undeveloped beaches on the island. The peninsula's near-constant wind makes it the best watersports area in the Canaries — kitesurfing, windsurfing, and sailing are the main draws for active guests.
The resort's Enyesque restaurant, specializing in Canarian cuisine with a smart dress code, is included once per week for guests staying seven nights or more on the all-inclusive plan. This is a meaningful differentiator — having a genuine a la carte dinner with local produce (goat cheese, mojo sauces, local fish) available as part of the package without surcharge adds real value to longer stays.
The My Favorite Club tier adds substantial perks: private check-in and check-out, dedicated reserved seating at restaurants and pool areas, and access to a private lounge serving complimentary snacks and premium drinks from 10:00–midnight. The upgrade is worth considering for guests who find the main buffet and poolside crowding a friction point.
The honest limitation: this is a frequently criticized property for food quality. The buffet is repeatedly described as cheap, repetitive, and low quality. The outdoor pools are unheated and cold — a significant issue in the Atlantic wind conditions of the Jandia Peninsula, even in summer. The return walk from Playa Esquinzo-Butihondo is steep uphill — a real problem for guests with mobility issues, prams, or anyone after a long beach day. The entertainment team primarily speaks French, creating a language barrier for non-Francophone guests.
Practically: 244 rooms in eight categories. Palma Airport equivalent is Fuerteventura Airport (FUE), 76–85km away — the longest transfer in the Alua group, 50 minutes to over two hours depending on traffic and route. Five pools: two outdoor adults', one children's with waterslide, and two heated indoor. Wellness center open 10:00–18:00 daily.
