Alua Miami Ibiza went through a comprehensive renovation following its 2022 acquisition by Fattal Group, with over €14 million invested and work completed by Spring 2023. The physical result is a significantly modernized property — rooms were refreshed, the pool areas reconfigured, and the Rosé Bar added as an adults' evening space. The renovation is recent enough that the improvements still feel current.
The resort manages a real balancing act between family facilities and adult spaces. The children's pool area features a pirate ship with slides and a sea monster water spray — a genuinely engaging setup for younger guests. Simultaneously, there's a dedicated adults-only sun terrace with Bali beds, and the Rosé Bar caters specifically to adult guests after 20:00. This segmentation is more thoughtful than most all-inclusives that simply label an area 'adults only' without backing it up.
The honest limitation: the buffet is the primary food option, and it is consistently the most criticized aspect of the resort. Desserts receive the harshest reviews — described as sugary and aimed at children. If food quality is central to your holiday experience, the buffet here is unlikely to satisfy. Explore the local restaurants in Es Canar and Santa Eulalia, both accessible on foot or by a short taxi ride.
Practically: 360 rooms across 15 categories, from standard Comfort rooms at 215 sq ft to Suite Quadruple Sea Views at 388 sq ft with separate living areas. Es Canar beach is accessed directly from the resort — step out and you're on the sand. Ibiza Airport is 25–30km away, a 30–40 minute drive. The local eco-tax (tourist tax) of €0.50–€2 per person per night must be paid directly at the property. Uncovered self-parking is approximately €20 per day.
April through June and September–October offer the best conditions: warm enough for the beach, lower pricing, and the Es Canar area at its most relaxed. The Ibiza club scene is concentrated on the west side of the island — Es Canar is deliberately far from it.
