The sunset view from the Sunset Chillout Bar is the most specific thing worth saying about Alua Hawaii Ibiza. San Antonio Bay faces directly west, and the Ibiza sunset — reliably dramatic in clear weather — is viewable from the property's terrace without leaving for a dedicated sunset spot. For a property that competes in the crowded Ibiza adults-only market, this is a genuine differentiator.
The adults-only restriction (16+) and the Es Puet Beach location give the resort a quieter character than the properties on San Antonio's main strip. Walking distance to San Antonio's shops, bars, and nightlife means guests have access to the town's energy when they want it, without the strip noise when they don't. The 2023 renovation modernized the 1968-built property substantially — the 209 rooms across three categories (Comfort, Superior Sea View, Deluxe Sea View) are in good post-renovation condition.
The PADI scuba diving program and water sports lineup on Es Puet Beach give aquatic-focused guests more options than the typical Ibiza beach resort. Kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, and banana boats cover non-diving guests. The cocktail school/demo is one of the more popular daytime activities — booking spots early makes sense.
Honest notes: the outdoor pools are unheated and consistently described as cold by guests — a real consideration for early June or late September stays. The in-room safe costs extra. The eco-tax (tourist tax) applies in the Balearics and is paid at the property on arrival — factor it into the trip budget.
Practical details: 209 rooms, 4-star adults-only, San Antonio. Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is 18–20km away, about 21–23 minutes. Premium rooms include PlayStation, bathrobes, slippers, and welcome wine — worth the price difference for couples who will use these.
