The combination of direct beach access on Playa Serena and Playa Serena Golf Course 500 meters from the entrance is the reason Alua Golf Trinidad exists as a distinct option among Almería all-inclusives. Guests who want both sea and golf from a single property usually have to compromise on one or the other. Here, the golf course is walkable, and the beach is directly behind the resort. Almería's climate — drier and sunnier than the Costa del Sol — makes this a more reliable year-round option than the wetter alternatives to the west.
Families are well served in the main season. The Astro Club runs from June 15 to September 15 for ages 4–12, with face painting, dancing, and water games. Three pools separate the energy levels: a main family pool with organized games, a children's splash zone with water slides, and an adult-oriented quiet relax pool. The activity program includes yoga, Pilates, zumba, aerobics, archery, and — unusually — air rifle target shooting (carbine shooting), which adds genuine variety to the daytime program.
The Mesa BBQ restaurant is the standout dining feature: outdoor terrace grilling in high season with buffet starters followed by grilled mains served at the table. This format works better than either a pure buffet or pure à la carte for group or family meals. Guests staying 4+ nights get one complimentary Mesa dinner, and it's consistently rated the best meal of the week.
