This Caribbean Island Is Getting a 297-Room All-Inclusive This Fall — On a Beach Most Travelers Have Never Heard Of
TUI Blue is opening its first Curacao all-inclusive in a quiet corner of the island, with swim-up suites, private-pool rooms, and six restaurants.
A quiet stretch of Curacao's western coast is about to get one of the island's biggest new all-inclusive resorts. TUI Blue Curacao is set to open this fall in Groot Santa Martha, a calmer section of the island away from the cruise crowds of Willemstad, bringing 297 rooms to a market that has leaned more toward boutique hotels than large beachfront resorts.
The property is built for the swim-up era: the room lineup runs from standard and ocean-view categories up to swim-up rooms and private-pool suites. On the ground, guests will find six restaurants, multiple bars, and three swimming pools set along a postcard-worthy beach. The resort is positioning itself partly around diving and watersports, leaning into the reef access that has long made Curacao a favorite for underwater travelers.
The opening matters for Curacao because it signals a shift. The island has spent years building a reputation as a lower-key, culture-forward alternative to busier Caribbean destinations, and the arrival of a large-format, all-inclusive product from a major European operator points to growing mainstream demand. It also lands in the same season that another marquee project, the first Marriott all-inclusive on the island, is preparing to debut.
For travelers, the timing is convenient. A fall opening puts the resort online just ahead of the Caribbean's high season, when Curacao's dry, breezy climate and location outside the main hurricane belt tend to draw travelers looking for a more reliable forecast.
