One of South Florida's most recognizable beachfront resorts has officially relaunched under a new identity. The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida — a 1,000-room property that originally opened in 1958 — has completed an $80 million renovation and rebranded as Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort.

The transformation focused on the resort's public spaces, dining venues, and member-access areas rather than the guest rooms, which had been updated in a previous renovation cycle. The redesigned lobby sets a new tone for arrivals, while six refreshed dining and bar concepts include the signature Diplomat Prime steakhouse.

The standout addition is Club Signia, a 6,660-square-foot indoor and terrace space perched on the 33rd floor. The club offers panoramic views across the Atlantic and the Intracoastal Waterway, giving guests a members-only experience high above the beach.

The resort's meetings and events infrastructure also got attention. With more than 200,000 square feet of flexible event space — including oceanfront ballrooms, open-air terraces, and a 50,000-square-foot great hall — the property is positioning itself as one of the premier large-scale event destinations in the southeastern U.S.

Two beachfront pools, private cabanas, a semi-private beach, and the Diplomat Spa & Salon round out the resort experience. The property also introduced The Verandah Social Club as part of the refresh.

Signia is one of Hilton's newer brands, designed specifically for large-scale premium resorts that blend leisure and business travel. The Diplomat marks a high-profile debut for the concept in South Florida. Hilton continues to expand aggressively across the resort sector, with the Hilton Cancun All-Inclusive Resort and the upcoming Sens Cancun adults-only all-inclusive among the company's most-watched Caribbean properties.

For travelers familiar with South Florida's resort scene, the rebranded Diplomat represents a bet that large beachfront properties can compete with boutique luxury by layering in exclusive clubs, curated dining, and resort-scale event capability.
