RIU Hotels & Resorts has officially opened the doors to its newest property in Cancun, and the standout feature sits six stories above the beach. The 705-room Hotel Riu Ventura, located on the southern edge of Cancun's Hotel Zone near El Mirador, held its grand opening in March after an initial soft launch in late 2025.

The resort's signature draw is a rooftop skybar on the sixth floor — an adults-only pool paired with a cocktail bar offering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the few elevated pool-and-bar combos in the Hotel Zone.

Swim-Up Rooms Above Ground

Hotel Riu Ventura also features 36 elevated swim-up rooms, a design twist on the typical ground-floor swim-up concept. Guests in these rooms step from their terrace directly into a pool section that sits above ground level, offering more privacy and better views than traditional swim-out suites.

Eight Restaurants Included

The 24-hour all-inclusive program covers eight dining venues: La Hacienda (the main buffet with live cooking stations), Kulinarium (international), Kaori (Asian-inspired), Rimini (Italian), a dedicated Steak House, Agave (regional Mexican), Tiki Taco (casual Mexican), and Pepe's Food for outdoor dining.

The property spans 14 floors with beachfront pool terraces providing direct beach access. It is RIU's latest addition to what is now a 15-property footprint across Mexico's Quintana Roo state, reinforcing the Spanish hotel group's position as one of the region's largest all-inclusive operators.
