Palace Resorts is about to open the Caribbean's largest new all-inclusive resort. Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana officially launches on June 1, 2026, bringing 2,171 suites to the Dominican Republic's eastern coast — backed by an investment of more than $1.5 billion.

The property features two 18-story towers, a bold departure from the low-rise resorts that define the region. Sixty-six percent of the rooms offer direct ocean views, making it the resort with the highest number of oceanfront accommodations in Dominican Republic history.

What Guests Can Expect

The dining program spans more than 20 venues. Nine pools — including swim-up options — anchor the outdoor space, alongside a water park, casino, full-service O Spa, and a Greg Norman-designed golf course. Core operations including accommodations, primary restaurants, pools, and activity areas will all be active at launch.

Opening-week rates start at $849 per night for a Grand Superior Deluxe Golf View room, all-inclusive. The property joins Moon Palace Cancun as a sister resort within the Palace portfolio, extending the brand's mega-resort formula from Mexico into the Caribbean.

The opening signals continued momentum in Punta Cana's upscale all-inclusive segment, where brands are betting that bigger properties with diverse amenities can command premium pricing in a market traditionally associated with mid-range resorts.
