This Palm Beach Resort Just Reopened With 31 Private-Pool Rooms — and a Whole New Adults-Only Side
After a property-wide renovation, one of Aruba's biggest family resorts returns with a premium adults-only Elite Club and 31 rooms that open right onto their own pools.
Riu Hotels & Resorts has reopened Hotel Riu Palace Aruba after a property-wide renovation, adding a premium adults-only section to one of the largest family resorts on Aruba's Palm Beach.
The headline change is Elite Club by Riu, an adults-only room category and service tier with its own restaurant, a reserved beach area with bar service, premium drinks and upgraded in-room amenities. Thirty-one of the Elite Club rooms come with private pools connected directly to their terraces, giving couples a quieter option a few steps from the water while keeping the rest of the resort close.
Every room in the 24-hour all-inclusive was renovated, with lighter interiors, new furniture, contemporary bathrooms and balconies facing the pools, gardens or Caribbean. Categories run from standard rooms to junior suites, two-bedroom rooms and larger suites for longer stays.
Dining grew to eight restaurant experiences, including buffet, steak, Italian, Asian, fusion and taco options plus the adults-only Elite Club restaurant, alongside five bars and a renovated café with an ice cream parlor. Families keep the RIU Land kids' club, a children's pool with slides and a swim-up bar at the main pool.
Riu has operated on Aruba since 2007. The reopening gives it a refreshed family property next door to the adults-only Hotel Riu Palace Antillas, where guests can also attend the weekly Friday RIU Party. The setup fits a broader Caribbean pattern of resorts carving out adults-only enclaves inside larger family hotels, letting couples and multigenerational groups book the same beachfront address for very different trips.
