Carlisle Bay Antigua Unveils Signature Beach Suites Oct. 16 in Phase Two
Carlisle Bay Antigua debuts renovated Signature Beach Suites and renamed Carlisle Suites on Oct. 16, 2026, continuing its multimillion-dollar redesign.
Carlisle Bay Antigua, a Leading Hotels of the World member on the south coast of Antigua, will debut the second phase of its multimillion-dollar renovation on Oct. 16, 2026, led by redesigned Signature Beach Suites and four renamed Carlisle Suites.
Phase one finished in October 2025 with refreshed Ocean, Bay, and Garden suites by London designer Miminat Shodeinde. Phase two pairs Shodeinde with Cara Doherty of the ownership group and focuses on larger beachfront and three-bedroom inventory that the resort is positioning for families and multigenerational groups.
What changes in the Signature Beach Suites
The resort's 20 Beach Suites become Signature Beach Suites in Terrace and Balcony layouts. Both keep a two-bedroom plan and add a second bathroom, a practical upgrade for travelers who previously found one bath tight for four adults. Interiors lean light and coastal, with soft fabrics, travertine, limewash walls, and walnut and teak accents that match the phase-one palette.
The three-bedroom Carlisle Suites take place names from around Antigua: Rendezvous Bay, Signal Hill, Fig Tree Drive, and Great Bird Island. Each suite gets a color and art story tied to its namesake, plus expanded living areas, four-poster beds, and custom furnishings. Local artist Sallie Harker of Fig Tree Studio Gallery created original woodcut works inspired by rainforest dancers and the landscapes tied to each suite name.
What still comes later
Oct. 16 is not the end of the project. Carlisle Bay says remaining guest suites, the Entrance Pavilion and Bar, and Indigo on the Beach are targeted for completion by November 2027. Guests booking this winter get the new suite product without waiting for every public space to finish.
For Antigua shoppers comparing luxury beach stays, Carlisle Bay sits in a different lane from all-inclusives such as Pineapple Beach Club Antigua and Royalton CHIC Antigua. It remains a European-plan Leading Hotels property where the suite redesign is the story: more bathroom capacity, clearer family layouts, and a stronger sense of place through named suites and local art.
If your trip falls after mid-October, ask specifically for Signature Beach or a named Carlisle Suite so you land in the renovated inventory rather than an older category still awaiting its turn.
