Intimate Boutique Atmosphere
Guests consistently praise the small scale and personalized attention. With only 54 suites, the resort feels like a private hacienda rather than a commercial hotel. Staff learn names quickly and create genuine connections.
Stunning Pools and Ocean Views
The multi-level infinity pool overlooking the Sea of Cortez is a highlight for nearly every reviewer. Four heated pools mean there's always a quiet spot, and the ocean views from rooms and common areas are described as breathtaking.
Beautiful Colonial Architecture
The Spanish hacienda design with arched doorways, tiled fountains, and lush gardens receives universal praise. Guests describe the property as charming, romantic, and photogenic at every turn.
Romantic Evening Atmosphere
Nightly live music at Saltwater, candlelit dining, and sunset cocktails create an atmosphere that couples describe as genuinely romantic — not manufactured. The intimate scale prevents the resort-party atmosphere found at larger properties.
Comprehensive All-Inclusive Perks
The Endless Privileges package — particularly complimentary laundry, 24-hour room service, and the Sip Savor & See sister resort dining — stands out as more generous than typical all-inclusive tiers.
Inconsistent Food Quality
While some guests find the dining excellent, a significant number report bland or underseasoned food, small portions, and inconsistency between visits. This is the most polarizing aspect of the resort.
Non-Swimmable Beach
The beach is beautiful for sunbathing but strong Pacific currents make ocean swimming dangerous. Guests expecting a swim-from-the-beach experience are consistently disappointed. The pools compensate, but it's important to set expectations.
Slow Service at Peak Times
Despite the intimate scale, multiple reviewers report surprisingly slow drink and food service, particularly at the pool bars and during peak lunch hours. Some report 30-40 minute waits for simple drink orders.
Value Concerns at Premium Price
At luxury all-inclusive pricing, some guests feel the food quality, drink selection, and entertainment don't quite match the cost — especially compared to newer competitors in the corridor. The value perception is mixed.
Timeshare Sales Pressure
Several reviewers mention being approached by condo/timeshare sales representatives. While not aggressive, it detracts from the boutique luxury experience for some guests.

Endless Privileges Property
Zoetry's highest-tier all-inclusive designation
Hyatt Inclusive Collection
Zoëtry Casa del Mar occupies a stretch of the Sea of Cortez Tourist Corridor about 25 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). The original resort opened in 1998 as a boutique golf property, was destroyed by Hurricane Odile in 2014, and was rebuilt entirely before reopening under the Zoëtry brand. The result is a Spanish-colonial hacienda layout with arched doorways, tiled fountains, and intimate courtyards — architecture more common in Guadalajara or Oaxaca than in Los Cabos' more modern glass-and-steel resort corridor.
At 54 suites, this is an unusually small all-inclusive. The scale enables the kind of staff-to-guest ratio where preferences are remembered and adjustments happen without asking twice. Endless Privileges, Zoëtry's top-tier all-inclusive, includes gourmet à la carte dining at three restaurants, premium spirits and wines, 24-hour room service, complimentary laundry, and a 20-minute spa wellness experience per stay — the last one being unusual enough to schedule on arrival day.
One thing to be explicit about: the beach at this section of the Tourist Corridor is NOT swimmable. Pacific currents along this stretch of the Sea of Cortez make the water consistently rough. This is standard for the Corridor and disclosed in most booking information, but guests expecting flat-water beach swimming will be disappointed. The four heated pools — including a multi-level infinity pool with Sea of Cortez views — are the swimming infrastructure. The Sip, Savor & See benefit gives dining access at nearby Hyatt sister properties (Dreams, Secrets, Breathless) for variety on longer stays.
Food quality reviews are mixed: some guests praise the gourmet dining, others find seasoning inconsistent and portions small. With only three restaurants, menu repetition becomes noticeable on stays longer than 4–5 nights — plan to use the Sip, Savor & See benefit on at least one evening.
