The renovation work was done earlier — 2012 was the main update, which puts the property at around a decade of age on its current finishes. Some areas reflect that, while the 2022 rebrand brought refreshed programming and branding without a full property overhaul. Guests should read recent reviews to calibrate expectations on room condition.
The pirate-themed splash park is the family differentiator. It's not a quiet pool with a slide tacked on — it's a proper themed water feature with waterslides, and it's the reason families with young children choose Alltra Cancun over other Hotel Zone options at comparable price points. The Camp Alltra kids club supplements the splash park with organized activities. This property competes on its family amenities more than on its design or food credentials.
