Wyndham Alltra Cancun is a Hotel Zone all-inclusive that rebranded from its previous identity in April 2022. The renovation work was done earlier — 2012 was the main update, which puts the property at around a decade of age on its current finishes. Some areas reflect that, while the 2022 rebrand brought refreshed programming and branding without a full property overhaul. Guests should read recent reviews to calibrate expectations on room condition.
The pirate-themed splash park is the family differentiator. It's not a quiet pool with a slide tacked on — it's a proper themed water feature with waterslides, and it's the reason families with young children choose Alltra Cancun over other Hotel Zone options at comparable price points. The Camp Alltra kids club supplements the splash park with organized activities. This property competes on its family amenities more than on its design or food credentials.
Dining covers a wide range: 10-plus restaurants and 8-9 bars across everything from gourmet Italian at Da Vinci to beachfront seafood at Piña Colada to a late-night hot dog cart. The Aura Spa offers complimentary hydrotherapy access, which is a meaningful inclusion at most all-inclusives. La Romana-style transfer time doesn't apply here — Cancun International Airport is 22-35 minutes away, one of the shorter Hotel Zone transfers.
The resort participates in sea turtle conservation with on-property nesting and release programs that run seasonally — an unusual eco-engagement feature that guests with children consistently mention as memorable. Not a selling point for everyone, but worth knowing.
