TRS Yucatan Hotel is the adults-only, premium-tier property within the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya complex, launched in December 2017 following a comprehensive renovation of the former Royal Suites Yucatan. The 454-suite resort sits on a jungle-lined stretch of coastline roughly midway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum — approximately 80 minutes south of Cancún International Airport. The jungle setting is actively part of the guest experience: coatis wander freely, tropical birds are visible from suite terraces, and the property has on-site cenotes for swimming.
The flagship differentiator is Las Rocas — a man-made saltwater tidal pool that draws directly from the ocean, housing actual marine life including fish and other Caribbean species. Guests swim alongside living sea creatures in a protected tidal pool setting, without snorkeling gear. This is genuinely unusual for an all-inclusive property and consistently cited as a highlight. The second standout is Le Petit Chef, an immersive dining experience where 3D animation is projected onto the table while a multi-course tasting menu is served — one of the most distinctive experiences available in the Riviera Maya.
The culinary program offers six exclusive restaurants, and TRS Yucatan guests receive the Chic Cabaret as an included benefit — at other Palladium properties this experience carries an extra fee. Access to the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya complex adds 20-plus additional restaurants to the mix. Suites start at 645 sq ft — larger than standard in the TRS portfolio — and 108 suites include private marble plunge pools on the terrace.
