Costa Mujeres is quieter than Cancún's Hotel Zone — the destination is designed and gated, similar in character to Cap Cana. Outside the Palladium complex, there isn't much walkable activity, which some guests find limiting and others find peaceful. The drive to Cancún is 20–45 minutes depending on traffic, though most guests find they have no reason to leave the property.
