Its location on the marina — rather than a beachfront — is both its most interesting feature and its most significant trade-off.
The marina setting provides a premium aesthetic — yachts at berth, Mediterranean-style architecture, calm water views — but the on-site beach is small and periodically affected by sargassum seaweed. This is managed with a complimentary shuttle twice daily to Juanillo Beach, a pristine white-sand stretch consistently rated among the best beaches in the Dominican Republic. Guests who are beach-focused should understand the shuttle model before booking; guests who prioritize pool, spa, and dining over beach time will find the marina setting genuinely appealing.
Every TRS Cap Cana guest receives a personal butler available 24 hours via direct contact. The butler handles restaurant reservations, spa bookings, airport transfers, and activity coordination — in a property of 115 suites this is a meaningful benefit, not a marketing phrase. L'Occitane toiletries, Nespresso machines, marble bathrooms with rainfall showers, and furnished terraces with hammocks come standard. TRS guests also receive one complimentary dinner per person at the Chic Cabaret & Restaurant at sister property TRS Turquesa (shuttle provided).
115 suites, originally opened 2015 as AlSol Tiara Cap Cana, relaunched as TRS in November 2018. 10 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.
