The SO/ Ras Al Khaimah Hotel & Resort is the SO/ brand's first all-inclusive property in the region and one of very few all-inclusive options in the UAE market — a market that has traditionally operated on a room-only or half-board basis. Opening in November 2025, it's one of the newest properties in Ras Al Khaimah's Al Marjan Island development.
All 257 rooms have uninterrupted sea views over the Arabian Gulf — this is the property's baseline room standard, not an upgrade. The avant-garde design language typical of SO/ hotels translates here to a more architecturally distinctive property than most of the neighboring Marjan Island resorts. The beach is private and relatively uncrowded compared to the more established Ras Al Khaimah beachfront properties.
Ras Al Khaimah as a destination offers a different experience than Dubai. It's quieter, less commercially developed, and the landscape — mountains meeting the Gulf coast — gives it more outdoor adventure potential than Dubai (jeep safaris, hiking). However, the dining and entertainment infrastructure outside the resort is limited, which makes the all-inclusive model particularly appropriate here — you're not missing much by staying on property.
The honest consideration for this property: as a 2025 opener, first-year operational consistency is still establishing itself. SO/ hotels are positioned as lifestyle-forward design hotels, not family-resort operations, and the all-inclusive format layered on that DNA is new territory for the brand. The adults-only Bungalow pool and the family-oriented Cabini pool address mixed-demographic groups, but the energy here skews toward design-conscious couples and discerning adult travelers rather than families with young children. The 15–30 minute transfer from Ras Al Khaimah Airport is convenient; for guests flying into Dubai (about 75 minutes), the drive is still manageable but longer than most regional alternatives.
