Secrets Puerto Los Cabos occupies a position in the Puerto Los Cabos gated community where the Baja desert landscape drops into the Sea of Cortez — a visual combination unlike any other Secrets property. Sunrises here are dramatic: desert ridgelines in one direction, open Pacific water in the other. That setting is the primary aesthetic differentiator, and it's genuine.
The critical caveat: the beach is not swimmable. Strong currents in front of the resort make ocean entry unsafe. The property acknowledges this directly — beach access is for sunbathing and walking, and the resort provides ample pool alternatives. Guests who book assuming Caribbean-style beach swimming will be disappointed. The pools (three total, including an oceanfront infinity pool) and the 21-room Secrets Spa by Pevonia are where the actual relaxation happens.
This is the right choice for couples who want a luxury all-inclusive in Los Cabos with a dramatic desert-ocean landscape, access to championship golf, and no children. It's a poor fit for guests who want to spend most of their day swimming in the ocean — stay at Cabo San Lucas properties for beach swimming. The Puerto Los Cabos community has additional championship golf courses accessible, though at extra cost beyond the included Unlimited-Luxury program.
